Ashu General Store

Ashu General Store is found at Shop No. 123/493 in Faiz All Ganj. We are located on Fazal Ganj Road, which is in the Fazal Ganj area of Kanpur, 208012. A good landmark is that we are right opposite the Santam Dharma Kata. It’s a busy industrial and commercial patch, so there’s a lot of heavy vehicles moving around. I spend most of my time cleaning dust off the jars because of all the traffic outside. The store has been here for years, and it looks it. The walls could use some paint, but I never seem to find the time. We stock the basic things that the workers and residents around here need. From matches to snacks, it’s all packed into our space. The counter is a bit wobbly, but it works for counting out change. Kanpur weather can be tough, especially the humidity, so I keep a small plastic fan right next to me. People stop by on their way to the factory or when they’re heading home after a long shift. We don't have any big sales or gimmicks. You just ask for what you need and I get it from the shelf. Sometimes I forget where I put the smaller items, so I have to search for a minute. It’s just a simple, honest shop on Fazal Ganj Road.
