Annakut Biscuits Co. Pvt. Ltd.

We are over here at 54-A in Vivekanand Nagar. Most days, the place smells like sweet dough and baked sugar before the sun even comes up properly. It is just Annakut Biscuits Co. Pvt. Ltd. really, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. We have a few ovens that have seen better days but they still work just fine for what we need. The staff here mostly lives nearby so we all know each other’s business. Someone usually brings in a thermos of tea around ten and we take a break sitting on the crates. Our floor stays a bit dusty with flour no matter how much we sweep it. We spend most of the afternoon packing the biscuits into those plastic sleeves and boxing them up for the local shops. It gets quite hot in the back during the summer months, but you get used to it after a while. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we just sit around talking about the cricket score or the rain. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People around here know where we are if they need a batch of something fresh. It is just a steady rhythm of mixing, baking, and packing. Sometimes a bag of flour rips and makes a mess, but we just clean it up and keep going. That is basically how things go here every single day of the week.
