Anisha Goel ( Interior Designer & Consultant )

I’m Anisha Goel and I’ve been working as an interior designer and consultant here in Kanpur for some time now. My office is located at 118/240 in Kaushal Puri, specifically tucked away in Hanuman Park Wali Lane near Gumti No 5. It's a nice little area, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes if you're coming by car. I started this because I enjoy the process of taking a bare room and making it look like a home. It’s not just about picking out curtains or pretty colors; there’s a lot of measuring and worrying about where the electrical outlets go. I spend half my day on the phone with carpenters and the other half looking at fabric samples that all look the same after an hour. I try to be very practical about things. If a client wants something that isn't going to last or will be hard to clean, I tell them straight. Being a consultant means I give a lot of advice that people might not always want to hear, but it saves them trouble later. My space in Kaushal Puri is usually filled with catalogs and half-finished sketches. It’s a bit messy, but I know where everything is. People come to me when they’re tired of their old furniture or moving into a new flat and don't know where to start. It’s just me doing what I can to help people in the neighborhood make their spaces feel a bit better.
