Alok Provision Store

Alok Provision Store is situated at 60A/8 in the Galla Mandi area of Vijay Nagar in Kanpur. Being in Galla Mandi means there is always a lot of activity with trucks and carts moving grain around, so the 208005 area is quite lively and a bit dusty. My shop is where people come for their regular household provisions. I keep the shelves stocked with the usual things like pulses, sugar, cooking oil, and some snacks for the kids. It’s a practical space without any fancy decorations or lighting. I spend most of my day behind the counter, weighing out items or restocking the bins when they get low. Kanpur can get very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, so the atmosphere in the shop changes with the seasons. I know most of the people in Vijay Nagar who stop by, and we often talk about how the market is doing or what is happening in the neighborhood. The shop isn't very large, so I have to be careful about how I stack the boxes to make sure there is enough room for people to stand. It’s a straightforward business, and I just try to keep things running smoothly so the locals can get what they need without any hassle. There is always something to do, whether it's checking the inventory or just cleaning the front. I’ve been here for years and it is my daily routine.
