Starts with Jajmau. We’ve been here at 36-A Block on 150 F T Road for quite a while now. Most people around this part of town know what we do. It is mostly leather work every single day. The machines are running and people come in early to start. It gets a bit dusty and loud sometimes, but that is how it goes. We deal with the raw materials and try to get them ready for whatever comes next. It is not a fancy place. My father started things years ago or maybe it was just a small shop back then. Now it is a Pvt Ltd company on paper, but the work feels exactly the same as it always did. We handle the hides and make sure things move along. The 150 F T Road is always busy with trucks and workers passing by. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait it out. It is just a regular leather business. We do not have a big front office or anything like that. Most of the space is used for the stock and the processing area. You walk in and you can smell the leather right away. It is just how things are here in this block. We keep to ourselves and do the work that needs doing. It is hard work, mostly manual. We have seen the neighborhood change over time. Some shops closed, others opened. But we stay right here. Nothing fancy.
