Abc 'tlda

We are over at number 142. It’s just a small spot, and we’ve been here for a bit now. There isn’t much of a sign outside, so you really have to know where you’re going or keep a sharp eye on the numbers. Abc 'tlda is just the name we use for the paperwork and legal things. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on whatever projects come through the door. We don't have a lot of space, so things tend to pile up on the desks and in the corners. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we manage to find what we need eventually. The building is older, and the lights flicker every now and then when the AC kicks in during the summer months. We spend the day on the phone or working on the computer. It’s not the kind of place people just wander into for a chat. We usually know exactly who’s coming to see us. The street outside is usually quiet enough, which is nice for getting things done. We don't have a big team, just a couple of people who have known each other for years. We aren't trying to be anything big or famous. We just do the work, keep the records straight, and go home to our families. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to catch up on, but mostly it’s a standard nine-to-five kind of deal. It’s a simple life and a simple office. We don't have any fancy mission. We just keep things running at 142.
