Our company, Wheat Care India, is located over on 86 A N 2 Road in Harjendra Nagar. Kanpur is a busy place, and our corner of it is no different. We spend our days thinking about grain and how to handle it properly. It started out as a small idea and eventually turned into this business. We don't have a flashy office with modern furniture. It is mostly just practical stuff that helps us get through the workday. The air in Kanpur can get dusty, and our warehouse area usually has a bit of that grain smell hanging around. We deal with a lot of local farmers and transporters who come and go at all hours. Some days are longer than others, especially when the harvest season is in full swing and everyone is in a hurry. We try to keep our heads down and just do what we are supposed to do. There isn't a fancy philosophy behind it. We just know that wheat is important to people here, so we try not to mess it up. Our staff is mostly local people from around Harjendra Nagar who have been with us for a while. We know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s a decent way to make a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just one that stays honest and keeps its doors open.
