Our place is over at Ambedkar Vihaar in Kanpur. It’s not the easiest address to find if you aren't from around here, but we like the area. We’ve been doing construction work for quite some time now. Our office is where all the planning happens before we head out to the actual sites. It’s often a bit cluttered with blueprints and samples of tiles or bricks. We don't really bother with making the office look like a showroom. It’s a workspace for people who get their hands dirty. Managing a construction firm in Kanpur means dealing with a lot of local variables, from the weather to the availability of skilled labor. We spend a lot of time on the phone or driving between different spots to see how things are progressing. It’s a lot of work and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned. We just deal with those hiccups as they happen. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a team of people writing fancy speeches. We just tell it like it is. If a job is going to take a certain amount of time, that’s what we say. We value being direct and getting the work finished. It’s a small operation, really, just a few of us keeping the wheels turning. We’ve built a decent reputation by just showing up and doing what we said we would do. That’s enough for us.
