We are located in the Panki Industrial Area, specifically Site 4. It’s Block A, Kda Scheme 40. The address says 34E, 34D, and 34C (Part). It sounds like a lot of space but it’s just how the plots are numbered here in Kanpur. Being in an industrial area means there are always trucks moving around and a lot of noise from the nearby factories. Ved Social Welfare Forum has been here for a bit. The air is often thick with dust, and the roads aren't always the smoothest to drive on. Our building is a bit older, made of brick and concrete. We have some old fans that make a lot of noise, but they keep the air moving. People in this part of Kanpur, 208022, are mostly workers and small business owners. It’s a busy, practical place. We don't have a reception desk or a lobby. You just walk in and someone is usually there at a table. We handle our paperwork and talk to the people who come by. It’s not a polished environment. There are stains on the walls and the furniture has seen better days. But it works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the office. We just want to get the day's tasks finished so we can head home before the evening traffic gets too bad. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the streetlights come on.
