Our place is located at 264 LIG Barra 5 in Kanpur. If you know Kanpur, you know that Barra is a pretty spread-out residential area, and we are right in the middle of it. We are registered as Tugela Pharmaceuticals India Private. The office is basically a converted space that fits our needs for now. It is not a big industrial unit or a shiny corporate office. We have desks, some storage for samples, and a lot of ledgers. Kanpur weather can be tough, especially the dust, so we are always cleaning the windows and the tables. Most of our work involves coordinating with distributors across Uttar Pradesh. It is a lot of phone time and tracking shipments. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, which makes the filing take longer than it should. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We are just a local business trying to make sure the supply chain for these medicines stays steady. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it stays quiet during the day until the kids come home from school. We usually stay until late in the evening getting the final dispatches ready for the next morning. It is a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking labels. We like being in Kanpur though. There is a certain grit to this city that keeps us working hard every day, even when the logistics get complicated.
