Suresh General Store

You can find Suresh General Store at 9 Rail Bazar in Kanpur. We are located very close to Shanti Sweet, which is a popular landmark around here. Rail Bazar is a busy place with a lot of people walking around throughout the day. The shop is a general store, so we keep a mix of everything. We have stationery, some household items, and plenty of snacks. It is the kind of place where you can find a needle or a notebook depending on what you are looking for. We started this place because we wanted something of our own to run. The shop isn't very wide, but it goes back a bit into the building. We have wooden shelves that we built ourselves many years ago. They are getting a bit old now but they hold the weight of the jars just fine. Every day we sit out front and watch the rickshaws go by. It can be quite loud with the honking and the shouting from the market. We do not have any big signs or advertisements to pull people in. People just know we are here. Sometimes the kids from the nearby school come in for pens or erasers during their break. We have to keep a close eye on the jars of candy so they don't take more than they pay for. It is a simple way to make a living. We don't aim for anything big.
