Shankar Construction Chaibasa Private Limited is run out of our office at B (9), 117/805 M-Block in Kakadeo. If you know Kanpur, you know how busy Kakadeo can get with all the students and the traffic. We’ve been here for a bit now, managing our construction work from this spot. Even though the name says Chaibasa, we spend most of our time right here in Uttar Pradesh dealing with the local heat and the dust that comes with any building project. The office isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s got a couple of desks piled with papers and some old chairs for when people come by to talk about cement or labor costs. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at sites, so the office is mostly for the paperwork side of things. Kanpur has a way of getting under your skin, and the noise from the street is always there in the background. We usually have a fan going full speed during the summer months because it gets pretty stuffy in here. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of tea, but that’s just how it goes in a real workplace. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big glass buildings. We just handle the projects as they come, step by step, and try to keep everything moving along. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days of the week.
