Sahu General Store

We started Sahu General Store at Shop No 4 along the Kanpur Byepass Road quite some time ago. It is right there near Allen House. Most people in Kanpur know how busy this stretch gets with all the trucks and cars zooming past. We are just a small spot where you can stop and grab things you need for the house. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular shop. I spend most of my day here behind the counter, watching the traffic go by. Some days are slow and some days the shop gets crowded with folks living around 208023. We keep the usual stuff, things you’d expect from a general store in this part of town. The weather here can get really dusty because of the road, so we are always cleaning the shelves. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. My family helps out when things get hectic in the evenings. We see a lot of the same faces every day, neighbors mainly. It is nice knowing the people who come in. Sometimes we just chat about the weather or the traffic on the bypass. If you are passing by Allen House, you will see our sign. It is a simple life running a shop here. We just try to keep the basics in stock so nobody has to go too far for small things. It is a living, and we like being part of the area.
