You can find us at 128/249 in the Y-Block of Kidwai Nagar, which is right in the heart of Kanpur Nagar. It is a very busy residential and commercial mix, so there is always some noise from the street outside our door. The office is situated in a building that has seen better days, but it is sturdy and keeps the rain out. We have a couple of rooms where we store our health care supplies and handle all the paperwork. The floors are tiled, which makes it easier to keep clean, though the tiles are a bit chipped in the corners. We have a few old fans that creak a bit when they are on high, but they keep the air moving during the hot Kanpur summers. Being in Y-Block means we are surrounded by shops and houses, so we are never really alone. There is a vegetable market nearby that gets very crowded in the evenings, making it a bit tricky to get in and out of the street. Our staff is just a handful of local folks who know the Kidwai Nagar area inside and out. We don’t use any complicated software; most of our records are kept in large ledgers and on a single old desktop computer. It’s a very hands-on way of working, and we prefer it because it feels more personal and connected to the neighborhood where we live. We try to keep things simple.
