We are over at 127/641 in Juhi Kala, Kanpur. The area is quite crowded and the roads are narrow. If you know the W2 section, you can find us pretty easily. Kanpur is a fast-paced city and 208014 is no different. The building isn't brand new, but it's where we operate. We have several rooms and the staff is always moving around. It gets hot in the halls when the power goes out, which happens now and then. We have people coming in with all sorts of needs. Some days the lobby is full of people waiting. We do the cleaning ourselves most of the time to keep things decent. It’s a local place for local people. Most of the staff lives within walking distance or takes a short rickshaw ride. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just open the doors and help whoever walks in. The paperwork can be a headache sometimes, but we manage. There is a lot of noise from the street outside, horns honking and people shouting. You get used to it after a few weeks. Juhi Kala has a specific feel to it, very lived-in and busy. We are just one part of that neighborhood. We stay late most nights until everyone is seen. It's just a regular hospital in a regular part of town. Our office files are kept in simple metal cabinets near the front desk. We try to stay organized.
