Ratneesh Narayan Foundation

The Ratneesh Narayan Foundation is based out of K-1/245 in the World Bank Colony over in Barra. It is a busy residential area and our office is just tucked away in one of the blocks. We have been here for a while and most of the people on the street know where to find us if they need anything. It is not a very big space, just a couple of rooms where we keep our files and some chairs for visitors. We started this because we wanted to help the folks around Barra who were falling through the cracks. We are not some big group from the city with a lot of fancy ideas. We are just local residents who felt like we could do a bit more for our neighbors. The traffic in World Bank Colony can get pretty backed up in the evenings, so we usually see a lot of people walking by after work. Sometimes they stop in just to chat or to tell us about a problem in the street. We do not have a big team of workers. It is mostly just a couple of us handling the daily tasks and making sure things stay organized. We do not use any complicated systems. It is just simple work for the people who live around us. We are just glad to have a roof over our heads and a way to help out.
