Pankaj Provision Store

We are over here at House No 33/A on Ramadavi Road. People around Kanpur usually know us because we’re right near Rama Davi. It’s a busy spot most days. I started this place a while back just to help out the folks in the neighborhood with their daily needs. We keep all the basic stuff like flour, oil, and soap. My day starts early, usually before the sun is fully up, getting the shutters open and dusting the shelves. It’s not a big fancy place or anything, just a regular provision store. Sometimes the deliveries are late and things get a bit messy behind the counter, but we manage. You’ll find me or one of the boys here until late evening. We know most of our customers by their names because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s nice to have that connection. The traffic on Ramadavi Road can get loud, but you get used to it after a while. We try to keep everything stocked so nobody goes back empty-handed. If we don’t have something, I usually try to get it by the next morning. Life here is simple, just running the shop and chatting with the locals who stop by for a packet of milk or some biscuits. It’s hard work standing all day, but it’s what we do. Not much else to say, it’s just a local shop trying to do its part in this corner of Kanpur.
