Nabmm Foundation

We’re based in Kidwai Nagar, specifically the 128/513Y-1 area near Yashodha Nagar. It’s a crowded part of Kanpur, but that’s just how it is here. Nabmm Foundation has a small office that we share. It’s not much to look at from the outside. The building is sandwiched between a grocery store and a small repair shop. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we have so many boxes of files. We try to keep things neat, but there’s always more paper coming in. We have one big desk where three of us sit. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but we make it work. The street noise is constant—horns, people shouting, and the occasional parade. You get used to it after a while. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum loudly. Most of our work involves talking to people who drop in. We don't have a website that we update or anything like that. We just do our work and go home. The floor is made of old grey stone that stays cool. We keep a big jug of water in the corner for anyone who’s thirsty. It’s a simple life in a busy city. We’ve been at this address for several years now and everyone around knows us.
