Mumbai Nidhi Limited

Despite the name, Mumbai Nidhi Limited is actually located right here in Kanpur at 63/3 Harbans Mohal. People sometimes ask us about the name, and we just tell them it sounded good at the time, though we are 100% focused on our local Kanpur neighborhood. Harbans Mohal is a crowded area with lots of old buildings and narrow lanes. Our office fits right in. It is a practical space, nothing flashy at all. We have our desks, our filing cabinets, and a steady supply of chai for whoever comes in. We have been helping the local shopkeepers and families around here with their savings and small credit needs for a while. It is a bit of a climb or a squeeze to get to us depending on the traffic that day, but once you are inside, it is a calm place to talk about money. We do not have a big corporate board or anything like that. It is just us doing the daily tallying and making sure everyone’s accounts are correct. Sometimes the noise from the street is quite loud, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We handle the paperwork, file the returns, and make sure we are doing right by the people who trust us with their cash. It is a straightforward business, and we like keeping it that way without any unnecessary drama or fancy talk. Every record is kept by hand and on the computer.
