Birhana Road is one of the busiest parts of Kanpur, and that is where MTI Fabrictech is based. Our address is 58/51, and if you know Kanpur, you know how crowded Birhana Road gets. It is the heart of the cloth and fabric trade. We are surrounded by other shops and businesses, so there is never a quiet moment. We focus on fabric technology, which sounds more complicated than it is when you’re actually doing the work. Mostly it involves checking rolls of cloth and making sure the quality is what it should be. The office is tucked away in one of the older buildings. It has high ceilings and old fans that have been there forever. We don’t see the need for a modern glass office when we are doing traditional business. The traffic outside is constant, with rickshaws and bikes everywhere. We usually have our tea delivered from the shop at the corner. It’s a very hands-on job, not something you can do just sitting behind a desk. We spend a lot of time in the godowns too. Kanpur people are straightforward, and we like to run our business that way. We don't use big words or make grand promises. We just show the fabric and let people decide. Being on Birhana Road for so long has taught us how to survive in a competitive market.
