Saket Nagar is a busy part of Kanpur, and that is where you will find Mahika Apparels Private Limited. We are located at W-1, Saket Nagar, 127/498. The building sits right in the middle of a neighborhood that is half residential and half commercial. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long—horns honking, people shouting, and the general hum of the market. Our work space is fairly crowded because we try to fit a lot of equipment into a small area. There are rolls of cloth in the hallways and desks piled with yellowing order forms. We have been working here for quite some time now. We aren't trying to become the biggest company in the country. We just want to get our orders out on time and make sure the sewing is done right. The people who work here are mostly from the nearby streets in 208012. We have a daily routine that involves a lot of chai and a lot of talking to get the schedules sorted out. It is not a polished or perfect environment. The floor could use a scrub and the paint is peeling near the windows. But it is a place where we all feel comfortable.
