Lau Kush Foundation

Our foundation is out in Village Karauli, which is part of the Kathongar area in Kanpur Nagar. It’s located at Santosh Singh Bhadori’s place. Living in a village means things aren't as rushed as they are in the center of Kanpur. We do our work from here, mostly sitting in the shade when it’s hot outside. Lau Kush Foundation isn't some big city organization. We’re just local people. We spend our days talking to the farmers and families around Karauli. The address is 208021 if you’re sending mail. It’s a long way from the big markets, but we like it this way. Our setup is basic. We have some chairs, a desk, and a lot of patience. Sometimes the power goes out for hours, so we just work by the window. We focus on helping out the local folks with whatever they need. It might be paperwork or just some advice on school matters. There’s no lobby or secretary here. You just show up and ask for Santosh or whoever is around. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been part of this village for a long time. The dirt roads get a bit muddy in the monsoon, but people still find their way to us. We just keep doing our bit, day by day, without making much of a fuss about it. That is just how life goes for us in Kanpur Nagar.
