Our office is situated at 117/N/15 in Naveen Nagar, which is a busy part of Kanpur Nagar. If you know Kanpur, you know that the streets can be a bit narrow and there is always something going on outside the door. We work on various infrastructure projects from this small building, and it’s a place that feels very lived-in. There are stacks of paper on almost every surface, mostly permits and site plans that have been sitting there for months. We have a couple of ceiling fans that work overtime to keep the air moving during the humid months. The walls are painted a pale color that has faded a bit over time, but we don't mind because we spend more time out at the job sites than we do staring at the walls. People in Naveen Nagar are always stopping by to ask questions or just to see how the work is going. We don't have any formal mission statements hanging up; we just try to do the work that comes our way as best as we can. It’s a lot of coordination with workers and making sure the materials show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes things go wrong, and we have to spend the whole day fixing a mistake, but that is just how the construction business works here. We are just a local team trying to make a living in the city and keeping track of all the local building rules as we go along.
