Our work happens out in Chandmari, specifically in the Kanhaipur area near the Muradganj post office. It’s a place where everyone knows everyone else. The roads aren't always great, especially when it rains, but we make it work. We have a small office space that we use to keep track of everything. It’s mostly just a few tables and some basic chairs. We spend a lot of time out talking to the locals, so the office is often empty for parts of the day. When we are there, we’re usually catching up on record-keeping or drinking water from the clay pot in the corner. There isn't any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a little. We don't mind it much. The environment is very relaxed and informal. People stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just write down what we do in our notebooks and hope for the best. The Muradganj area is quiet for the most part, which we appreciate. Our staff is mostly from the surrounding villages. We don't have a strict dress code or anything like that. We just show up and do the chores that need to be handled. It’s a very basic setup, but it’s ours and we are comfortable here.
