Spm Hospital Research & Trauma Centre

Our place, the Spm Hospital Research & Trauma Centre, is spread across C46 to 50 in Kalyanpur. It’s a fairly large space because we handle a lot of different things here. Being in Kalyanpur, we get people coming in from all over the local area. The trauma center part means we see a lot of urgent stuff, so the energy in the building can be quite intense at times. It’s not always the quietest place to work, but we’re used to the noise by now. The halls are usually full of families and staff moving back and forth. We’ve got different sections for research and for the regular hospital beds. It’s a bit of a walk from one end to the other, to be honest. We keep the equipment as ready as it can be. The building has been here for a while, so we’ve had to do repairs and updates here and there. It’s a functional building, nothing too flashy. We focus on the practical side of things. Most of our days are spent checking on patients or dealing with paperwork. It’s a lot of responsibility, and the hours can be pretty long. We don’t really have a lot of downtime. We just keep things moving, making sure the shifts are covered and the supplies are stocked up in the storage rooms. The parking lot outside gets full pretty early, which is something we deal with every day.
