Down in Kidwai Nagar, specifically in the K Block at 194/57, you will find Doctor Medica Healthcare Private Limited. It is a residential kind of neighborhood, so we feel like a part of the local street. We don't have a huge sign or a big glass front like the hospitals you see in the city center. It is more of a practical building that serves the people living right here. Most of our staff lives nearby, so we all walk or take short rickshaw rides to get to work. The daily routine is pretty much the same every week. We open up the shutters, clean the floors, and start taking in people who need help. It gets a bit cramped in the reception area when more than five people are waiting, but everyone is used to it. We use old-fashioned fans that make a clicking noise, which is just part of the background here. There is no corporate vibe at all; it’s just people helping their neighbors. Sometimes we run out of the right forms and have to go make copies down the street. It’s a very hands-on way to run things.
