Our base of operations is in Bidhnu, specifically at 33 A, Pipargawan. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s a good area for the kind of work we do. We are focused on developing homes and small residential plots. Pipargawan is a place that still has a lot of open land, so we see it changing every day. Our office is quite basic. We have a few desks, some chairs for visitors, and lots of maps pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time out in the sun looking at land and marking boundaries. It’s not a glamorous job. You get dusty and tired, but seeing a house actually get finished is a good feeling. We don’t go in for big speeches or fancy promises. We just tell people what we can do and then we try to do it. The local weather can be tough, especially in the summer heat, so we start our days very early. Most of the people we work with are from the nearby villages or people looking to move out of the crowded city centers. We’ve learned a lot about the soil and the local permits required around here. It’s a slow process sometimes, dealing with all the different departments and paperwork. But we’ve stayed here in Bidhnu because we like the pace of life and the people. We just keep working away on the next project.
