Chhatreshwari Foundation

If you ever find yourself in Bilhaur, you might pass by our place in Subhash Nagar. We operate out of the space owned by Poonam Singh. It’s not a big corporate building, just a regular house where we set up our office. Chhatreshwari Foundation is run by folks who actually live around here in Kanpur Dehat. Most of us grew up in these streets. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood, which is nice when you have a lot of work to get through. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, if someone comes by, we just pull up a spare chair and have a chat. The weather gets really hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. There’s a little shop around the corner where we get our snacks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to people from the community. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just steady. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes papers pile up a bit on the main table. That’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We’ve been at this for a bit now. Being in the 209202 area code means we're close to everything we need. It’s a basic setup, but it works for what we do every day. Nothing too complicated, just us in Bilhaur.
