Binaca Knitwear Private Limited has its home in Kanpur, at House No. 18 in Bhannana Purwa. If you know Kanpur, you know it’s a city that knows its way around textiles and industry. We are part of that tradition, though on a much smaller scale than some of the giant mills you see elsewhere. Our address at 87/110(4) is where all the action happens. We handle a lot of knitwear, which means we’re always surrounded by yarn and finished sweaters or shirts. The dust from the fabric is just part of the air here. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows each other’s names and we eat lunch together most days. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make clothes that people can actually wear. Some days are stressful when the machines are acting up or a shipment is late because of the traffic, but that’s just life in the knitwear business. We’ve stayed in this neighborhood for a long time because it feels right and we’re close to our suppliers. Kanpur can be a tough city with the traffic and the humidity, but it’s where we belong. We don't have a polished website with professional photos. Most of what we do is seen by the people who walk through our doors or take our boxes. It’s just us, working away in Bhannana Purwa, trying to keep the quality decent and the stacks of sweaters organized. We do the best we can with what we have each day.
