Our office for ALLARD CONSTRUCTION LLP is situated at H - 1709 in the Awas Vikas Colony No. 1, over in the KALYANPUR part of KANPUR-Kanpur India. It’s a residential area, so it feels a bit more relaxed than being in the middle of a big industrial park. We started out small and stayed that way because we like being able to keep an eye on everything ourselves. The house serves as our base where we keep our files and meet up in the mornings before heading out to different sites. You’ll usually find a few motorbikes parked outside and some muddy boots near the door. We don't really bother with big signs or flashy advertising because most people in Kalyanpur find out about us just by seeing what we’re doing on the street. Building things is a slow process, and we spend a lot of time waiting for deliveries or dealing with the city’s power cuts. We have a lot of local guys working with us, and we try to keep a steady pace so nobody burns out. There is always some paperwork to finish or a permit to chase down, but we prefer the days when we are actually out there with the bricks and mortar. It is a simple setup we have here, and it works for what we need to do every day in the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and work until the sun goes down.
