Aina International is based at 17/71-A in the Nawab Compound, which is part of Ram Narayan Bazar in Kanpur. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how crowded and lively it is. It’s the old heart of Kanpur, full of traders and shops that have been there forever. We deal with a bit of everything, mostly focused on goods that go out to other markets. Kanpur is a tough place to do business sometimes because of the traffic and the old infrastructure, but there’s an energy here you won’t find anywhere else. Our office in the 208001 area is a bit cramped, filled with boxes and samples and stacks of paper. We don't really care about having a polished image. We’d rather focus on getting the orders right and making sure our suppliers are happy. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone and walking through the bazar to meet people. We don't have any formal mission statements or corporate goals written on the walls. We’re just a small team trying to make a living in a competitive world. Every day brings a new challenge, whether it’s a shipping delay or a change in the market prices. We just take it as it comes. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve been here a while and plan to stay for a lot longer because this bazar is where we belong.
