Sankara Eye Hospital

We've been here in Village Panau Purwa Amiliha for a while now. People usually come to us when they have trouble seeing or if their eyes are bothering them. It's out near Tatyaganj, so it’s pretty quiet around the hospital compared to the middle of the city. We mostly just focus on getting people’s vision sorted and helping them see the world a bit better. Sometimes it gets busy, especially in the mornings when folks travel in from the surrounding parts of Kanpur Nagar to wait for their turn. We don't have anything too fancy, just the equipment needed to check eyes and do surgeries if someone has a cataract or something like that. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know a lot of the families who walk through the door. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at, but we keep it clean. We try to get through the queue as fast as we can, but medicine takes time and you can't rush these things. If you are coming from the main road, you just look for the signs near the post office. We spend most of our day doing checkups and talking to patients about their glasses or eye drops. It’s hard work sometimes but seeing someone see better after a long time makes the day go by easier. We don't really do much else besides eye care here in the village. That's just what we do.
