Sankara Eye Hospital

Our eye hospital is situated in Amiliha which is near the Tatyaganj post office area in Kanpur Nagar. It is a bit out of the main city center so it has a different feel compared to the urban clinics. We get a lot of people coming in from the local villages and the surrounding parts of Kanpur Nagar. The building is a solid structure that has seen a lot of patients over the years. Inside we have the standard rooms for eye checkups and a large area for people to sit while they wait for their turn. It can get a bit dusty around here especially when the wind picks up but we try to keep the hospital as clean as possible. We don't have any of those expensive marketing materials or corporate mission statements posted on the walls. We just focus on the task of checking eyes and helping people with their vision. The staff is quite used to the pace of life in Amiliha. It's a simple operation where we use our equipment to diagnose eye problems and provide basic care. Some days are very long especially when we have a lot of elderly patients who have traveled a long way to see us. We don't make things complicated. It's just a hospital for the community where we do our daily work. There is always a lot of paperwork to fill out and people to talk to but that is just part of the job here.
