If you go down to Sahabganj you will find us at 2/29 Narayan Das. It is an old building and the stairs are a little steep so you have to watch your step when you visit. We do fashion work here but it is mostly just us cutting and sewing all day. My uncle used to have a shop nearby and that is how I got into this business in the first place. The room we work in is not very big so we have to be organized or else we can't find anything. We have these big metal cupboards where we keep the finished pieces so they do not get dusty. The light in the afternoon is really good because of the big windows facing the street. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting outside and the bells from the temple nearby. It makes the day go by faster. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just find us because they know someone who came here before and liked what we did. We drink a lot of water because it gets hot in the summer and the ceiling fan is quite slow. Sometimes we stay late to finish an order and the whole street is quiet except for the stray dogs. It is a simple way to make a living and we have been at this address for five years. We don't plan on moving anywhere else.
