So, Guljar Gents Parlour is right here on G T Road in Chaubepur. If you know the Kanpur area, you know how busy it gets out there. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s just a regular shop where men come in to get their hair sorted out or a quick shave before work. The chairs are old but they work fine. Most days start early because people around here have things to do. You’ll hear the traffic from the road all day long. It never really stops. Inside, we have some mirrors on the walls and the usual fans going to keep the heat away. It’s nothing fancy, just a place to sit down for twenty minutes and get a cut. I usually keep the newspaper around for anyone waiting. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break. Kanpur gets really dusty, so we are always cleaning the floor. There is no big sign or anything, just the shop front on the main road. Most people who live in 209203 know where we are. It’s a simple setup. We use the basic scissors and razors. Nothing too modern. Just the way things have been done for years. Some days it is packed, especially on weekends, and other days it is just me sitting here watching the cars go by on G T Road.
