Being based in Sikandra, we are right in the middle of a lot of activity. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit down and work through technical drawings and project plans. We have some decent computers, but the tables are usually covered in blueprints and coffee mugs. It gets quite loud when everyone is debating a technical point or trying to figure out why a particular design isn't working the way it should. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties every day; we mostly just wear whatever is comfortable for a long day of work. A lot of our time is spent looking at screens or visiting sites to see how things are actually being built. It is more about the practical side of engineering than the theory you read in books. Sometimes we stay late when a project deadline is close, and the local food stalls nearby are our main source of dinner. We don't have a fancy reception or a lobby. If you walk in, you will probably just see us working. It is a straightforward environment where the focus is on getting the job done right. We deal with various vendors and clients, mostly through phone calls and emails, keeping things moving as best as we can. We have some old blueprints rolled up in the corner that we haven't looked at in years, but we can't bring ourselves to throw them away. The desks are a mix of styles we've picked up.
