Valayam Constructions Limited Liabilitypartnership is based out of Vembidikunnu, Chuzhali. Our address is 4/93 A. It is a partnership, so there are a few of us who run the show together. We decided to set up in this part of Chuzhali because it’s where we are from. The work we do is mostly general construction. It involves a lot of dusty boots and long hours on site. Our office is more like a place to store tools and maps than a proper corporate office. We don't really have a secretary or anything like that. Usually, one of us just picks up the phone when it rings. We’ve got a few projects going on at any given time, and it’s a lot of juggling to make sure everything stays on track. The people around Vembidikunnu are used to seeing our trucks and equipment moving around. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy. Sometimes things go wrong, like a machine breaking down or a supplier being late, and we just have to deal with it. We don't have a polished way of doing things. We just talk like regular people and do the work that needs doing. It’s a tough business, but we like being our own bosses.
