Classy Doors & Windows

Our shop is over in the Jat Complex, which is pretty close to the Honda showroom on Shri Kandapuram Road. We’re in the Manna area of Taliparamba, not too far from the Morarji Circle in the GIDC section. It’s a busy spot with a lot of people moving around. We have doors and window frames leaning against the walls most of the time. People come in to run their hands over the wood or check the latches on the aluminum frames. It’s a hands-on kind of business. The front of the shop gets quite a bit of dust because of the road traffic, so we are always wiping things down to keep the glass looking halfway decent for whoever walks in next. We have a small crew here, usually just a couple of us helping people pick out what they need for their houses. The back room is where we keep the tools and do some of the minor adjustments if a frame isn’t sitting quite right. It’s a straightforward setup. We don’t have a lot of space for a big fancy office, so we just use a small corner with a desk for the paperwork and the computer. Working near the Honda showroom means there are always people around, which is nice. Most of our days are spent talking to local builders or homeowners who are trying to fix up an old place or finish a new one. It's just a regular local shop doing its thing every day and trying to stay busy.
