St. Jude Unity Supermarket Llp

St. Jude Unity Supermarket Llp is located at Palakkamattathil House, right in Jude Nagar. It’s a spot in Kiliyanthara that most locals know well. We started this as a group effort to bring more variety to the village. Ayyamkunnu and Vallithode are just a short trip away, so we see people from all over the area coming in. It’s a family-style operation. You might see a few of us drinking tea outside before we open up the shutters for the day. We carry the usual things like pulses, oils, and snacks. Sometimes the milk delivery is a bit late, and we have to tell people to come back in ten minutes. That's just how life goes in a place like this. We don’t have fancy displays or those bright neon signs. It’s just a plain shop with the essentials. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure things are fresh. It gets dusty being near the road, so there is always someone with a cloth wiping down the counters during the slow hours. We aren't looking to expand into some massive chain. We are happy just being the local store where people can get their weekly groceries without any fuss. It’s been a good experience getting to know everyone in the community better through the store. It keeps us quite busy every single day and we like it that way.
