Sreeranjini School Of Music

Sreeranjini School Of Music is located on Bstreet in Thazhe Angadi. That’s in Mananthavady, up in the Wayanad hills. The air is usually a bit cooler here, which is nice for the students. We are in the 670645 area. The building is an old one, tucked away from the main marketplace. We have a few rooms dedicated to different instruments. You might hear a flute from one room and someone singing from the other. It’s a bit of a mix. We don’t have fancy acoustic tiling on the walls. It’s just the regular plaster, so the sound bounces around quite a bit. We have a lot of old photos on the walls of past students and some of the local festivals. It feels like home to us because we’ve been in this spot for quite a while. Most people in Mananthavady know the way to Thazhe Angadi, so finding us isn't too hard. We don't have a secretary. If the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We keep a pot of water in the corner for the students. It’s a very simple, relaxed way of doing things. We aren't trying to be a big academy. We just want to keep the local music going in our small corner of Wayanad. It’s just a part of the daily life here on Bstreet. We just open the windows, let the music out, and wait for the next student.
