Ranjini Textiles

Ranjini Textiles is down in Neerkadavu, specifically in Azhikode South. It is a quiet area compared to the big cities. We have a modest building where we keep all our stock. Most of the business we do is with people from the local area or nearby towns. The air here smells a bit like the sea since we are close to the coast. Inside the shop, it is mostly shelves filled with different types of cloth and ready-made items. We have been here for years, and most of our customers are people we have known since we were kids. It is not a high-end boutique or anything like that. We just have good, sturdy fabrics that people need for their daily lives. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to open the doors wide to let the light in. We have a small desk where we keep our accounts in big paper ledgers. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time talking to whoever walks in, even if they are not buying anything. It is just the way life goes here. We close up when it gets dark because there is not much foot traffic after that. It is a simple life running a textile shop in a place like this, and we are quite used to it by now.
