Pinarayi Industrial Central Co Operative Society

Down here in Kannur, specifically on Temple Road in Eruvatty, our cooperative society has its roots. It’s a quiet area near the Puthiyaparambeth Panunda temple, and that’s where we do our business. Being a cooperative means we aren't just one person calling the shots; it’s a group effort. We’ve been working together for years, helping the local industry move along. Our building is a simple one, right by the road, and you can usually hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We deal with practical matters, like helping members with their industrial needs and keeping the society running smoothly. It’s a lot of ledger books and face-to-face conversations. We don’t do much online, preferring to talk to people when they walk through the door. In Kerala, community is everything, and we take that seriously without making a big fuss about it. The office can get a bit warm in the afternoons, but there is usually a breeze from the trees nearby. We aren't looking to grow into some massive corporation. We just want to keep things stable for everyone involved in the society. It’s a steady pace of life here. We show up, do the work, and make sure everything is fair for the members. It’s just how we’ve always done it.
