Miraab India Nidhi Limited

Our small office is located in Cherupuzha, which is up in the Kannur district. We are set up at C/O Abdulla Mtp. It’s not a giant headquarters like you might see in a movie, just a local spot where we manage the nidhi company. We spend most of our time dealing with the paperwork for savings accounts and gold loans. People from all over Cherupuzha come by to talk about their financial needs. We try to keep it very simple for them. No one wants to deal with a bunch of fine print they can't understand. We just explain how the interest works and when they need to make their payments. It's a very straightforward way of doing business. The office is cozy, maybe a bit cramped when more than three people are waiting, but we make do. We have some basic furniture and a few desks for the staff. We don't have any slick sales pitches. If you want to save some money or need a bit of help with a loan, you just come in and we talk about it. It feels very much like a community effort. We've seen a lot of changes in Kannur over the years, but the way we work hasn't changed much. We stay focused on the locals and their small-scale financial matters. It’s a quiet life but we feel good about helping out our neighbors. That is pretty much the story of who we are.
