Mindmingle Designs

Our small spot is in Thazhetheru, tucked away behind the Manorama Office. It’s a quiet enough area for doing design work, which is what we spend most of our time on. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of people, just a handful of us sitting at desks trying to figure out how to make spaces look better. Usually, the table is covered in sketches and scrap paper. People come in with an idea of what they want their room or shop to look like, and we try to draw it up for them. Sometimes we disagree on where a window should go or what color works, but we eventually figure it out. Being in Kannur means we see a lot of the same faces around. We don't have a big sign out front or anything, so most people find us just by asking around or knowing the landmark near the newspaper office. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. We do the drawings and the planning, then talk to the contractors. It’s a lot of sitting in front of computers and looking at samples. We don’t really do the fancy sales talk; we just show what we can draw and go from there. If you need us, we're usually there until the evening, unless we're out measuring a site somewhere in town. It’s just us doing what we know how to do and living our lives here.
