Our building is nothing special to look at, just a sturdy place where we keep the records for the chit funds. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and the sound of someone typing or talking on the phone. We don’t go for any of that modern office decor that you see in the big cities. It’s practical and a bit crowded with all the ledgers we keep. People from Thalassery stop by at all hours, usually to check on their accounts or just to say hello while they’re out doing errands.
