About Kerala Government (Kwa) – Metals & Minerals in Kannur
We are over here at the Amargeeth building in the Kappad area of Kannur. This is where we handle the stuff for the Kerala Water Authority. It’s a quiet part of the district compared to the main towns. Most of us here have been with the government for a long time. Our work is pretty straightforward but important, mostly dealing with the water supply and the pipes for the local people. The office has that old government feel with the ceiling fans and the big registers where we write everything down by hand. We aren't here to make any big sales or anything like that. We just make sure the water keeps flowing and the complaints get filed properly. Sometimes people come in because their bill is wrong or they have a leak near their house. We listen to them and try to send someone out when we have a spare hand. Being in Kerala, we get a lot of rain which makes our jobs a bit messy sometimes. The office is surrounded by a bit of greenery which is nice. We aren't trying to be fancy or modern. We just show up every morning, do our shifts, and make sure we are serving the community the best we can without any unnecessary drama. It’s just how things go in a small-town government office. We enjoy the routine and the familiar faces that drop by.
