John Ice Cream

John Ice Cream sits right on the Coorg Highway in Kuthuparamba. It’s a spot where people stop when they are driving up toward the hills for their trips. The road is always busy with travelers and big buses. We see a lot of dusty cars pulling over at all hours. The shop is simple and easy to find on the side of the highway. We have a counter and the big chest freezers lined up. It’s usually a bit cooler inside than it is out on the hot asphalt. We spend the day serving travelers who are looking for a break from all the driving. Kuthuparamba is a busy area and the highway makes it feel fast. We try to work quickly so people can get back on their way. We don't have a lot of space for people to linger inside, but they don't seem to mind much. They grab a cone and head back to their vehicles. We keep an eye on the traffic while we work. It’s a good way to see who is coming through town. Sometimes the locals from the town come by in the evening when it’s quieter. We know the regular drivers who pass this way every week. They always stop for the same thing. We don't have a big menu. We just want to make sure everyone who stops here gets what they need before they go.
