We have been doing construction stuff around Muzhappilangad for a while now. Based out of the Kariyila Vayalil house, it is really just a few of us working on local projects. Kerala weather makes building things a bit tricky sometimes, especially with the heavy monsoon, so we spend a lot of time just planning how to keep the water out of our sites. We handle basic residential builds and some development work in the Kannur district. It isn’t a fancy office with lots of staff in suits. Most days we are out at sites or talking to suppliers about cement prices and labor. Living and working here in Mahe and the surrounding villages means we know the people and the land well. People just stop by the house if they need something done or want to talk about a plot of land they bought. We try to keep things straightforward. There are no big brochures or sales teams here. Just us making sure the walls are straight and the roof does not leak. It is hard work, especially when the summer heat hits, but we like being part of the local community. If you are around P O Muzhappilangad, you have probably seen our work or at least our trucks moving materials. We do not do much advertising because word of mouth usually keeps us busy enough. We just focus on the job at hand and moving to the next site when one is finished.
