Haseena Traders

Down here on Puligome Road in Cherupuzha, things move at their own pace. Haseena Traders is tucked away in a spot that’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. We’ve got a lot of stuff piled up inside, and it’s not always the neatest place, but it works for us. The road outside can get muddy when it rains, which happens a lot in this part of the country. We spend a lot of time hauling things in and out. It’s physical work, and we’re usually pretty tired by the end of the day. There’s a small tea shop down the way where we go for breaks. Cherupuzha is a beautiful area, very green, but the humidity can be tough. We’ve been at this address for a while and the building is starting to show its age. There are some cracks in the floor and the roof leaks a tiny bit in one corner, but we just put a bucket there. It’s an honest way to make a living. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny storefront. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for years. We talk about the weather or how the local crops are doing. It’s just a normal business on a normal road. We keep the ledger on a wooden desk that’s been here since we opened. It’s homey in its own way. We like the sound of the rain on the roof, even if we have to watch for leaks. Haseena Traders is just a small part of Cherupuzha, and we've gotten used to how things work here.
