Our office is over in Payyanur, specifically at House No: 19/124 in the Kokkanissory area. It’s a quiet enough spot here in the Kannur district of Kerala. We go by Gvr Constructionspvt Ltd, but most people just stop by the Pariyachary house if they need to talk to us about a project. Building things here is a bit different because of the heavy monsoon seasons we get. You have to plan your work around the weather, or you’ll end up with a mess on your hands. We aren't interested in using big words or making things sound more complicated than they are. Construction is just about putting one piece on top of another until you have a building. We handle the everyday tasks that come with local residential work. Sometimes we’re out in the mud, and other times we’re just sitting in the office trying to figure out why the sand delivery hasn't arrived. We’re just regular people trying to make a living and build things that won’t fall down. It isn't always glamorous, and the clothes usually end up covered in dust by noon. We’ve been at this for a bit now, so we have a good feel for what works and what doesn't in this part of Kerala. If you walk past the post office, you’re pretty close to where we are. We just keep things moving, one day at a time, making sure the local houses we work on are sturdy enough to handle the rain.
